The holiday season is a time of togetherness, gratitude, generosity, and of course, great food. We can’t think of a better way to wrap up the year than by spending quality time with the people we care about while expressing how thankful we are for their presence and all of the good we have in our lives. Thanksgiving has recently passed, and before we dive too much further into the Christmas spirit, our team at Alevation Inc wanted to shine a spotlight on a few things we love about the most thankful day of the year.
“As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words but to live by them.”
In true Thanksgiving fashion, a few members of our team came together to express what truly brings them joy every year on the fourth Thursday of November. You’re about to read praises on fine dining, the importance of family and friends, and the power of appreciating all you have. When we say that the holidays warm our hearts, we aren’t kidding!
“My favorite things about Thanksgiving are getting to see all my extended family and eating all of the yummy food everyone made! I especially love eating the deep-fried turkey that my family makes every year!” – Erin
“The main reason I like Thanksgiving is because it brings family and friends together, and it makes us realize all we should be grateful for; we also get to enjoy and share delicious food. Overall it is a great time for everyone because people show great kindness.” – Yessika
“My favorite thing about Thanksgiving is getting to spend time with my family. It’s a time we can all get together and talk about how everything is going and just enjoy quality time together. Also, we do steak tips instead of turkey, which I think is very funny just because none of us like turkey. It’s a great holiday, and I love the quality time together.” – Kevin
“I have a few favorite things about Thanksgiving. One is the food, of course (especially all of the tasty sides), but I also love that it’s a day centered around gratitude and being thankful for everything that we have. It’s easy to get caught up in all of the things that we either don’t have or lack, but when we take the day to express recognition, appreciation, and acknowledge what we have, it allows us to be in a constant state of joy.” – Abbie
While many find Thanksgiving lacking compared to Christmas, at Alevation Inc, we believe that it’s the best way to kickstart the season! It is a day chock-full of importance. Everyone puts work aside, takes a break from their everyday hustle, and slows down enough to look around and remember what they are working so hard for. To us, a successful future includes having control of our time so that we can dedicate more of ourselves to those around us.
We hope our team’s Thanksgiving favorites brought you joy this holiday season and that you carry that warmth into the coming weeks as you embrace all things Christmas. From all of us at Alevation Inc to you and yours, happy holidays!
